Kat was born with a pen in her hand. From her early years pen-palling with other kids around the globe to her storied career as a copywriter, Kat loves nothing more than connecting through words.
Today, her gift as a writer is directed primarily at op-ed pieces that challenge creative industries to reinvent themselves by questioning how they do business, what they prize, and how welcome they are to diverse opinions.
Kat is currently finalizing a proposal for her first book, “The Future Belongs to Belonging: How Inclusive Cultures Unlock World-Changing Creativity.” Part case study, part love letter to human potential, The Future Belongs to Belonging is a guidebook for everyone who values ideas. It will help companies identify the small things that are actually big things when it comes to culture creation. It will help individuals find places they can safely stop covering, code-switching or camouflaging and unleash their full creativity. And it will help the whole of humanity harness the glorious bounty of innovation that awaits on the other side of radical inclusion.
